Membership dues for 2019 are due at $30 per family with $570.000 collected to-date.  So far for 2019, the club has 19 paid family memberships and 3 approved non-paying memberships including 2 members who joined in the last third of 2018.
Wendell Salas updated the Club on Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup developments with Adams Polishes holding a detailing clinic for FRMC members and Roundup participants  scheduled for May 18th at 9:30 am.  The event organizers are experiencing some challenges with assigned parking in Steamboat since the event layout has changed and there is a need for parking for at least 400 cars based on enrollment to-date.  This could lead to a possible relocation of the Roundup from Steamboat in 2020 with Snowmass, High Plains Raceway, the Adams County Fairgrounds, and the Budweiser Event Center possible candidates.
The Club was forced to postpone its visit to the Erie Spirit of Flight Center in April due to an inability to achieve contact with the facility.  Eventually, they responded to President Standiford’s calls and it is possible the event will be rescheduled this year.  For May, at least five Club members are planning on attending the Mustang Enchantment by Rio Grande Mustang Club Show in Albuquerque, NM May 25-26.  Members will meet at 8 am that Saturday at Rosie’s Diner in Monument for a 9 am group departure.  Information on this event can be found at

Art Apple reported that the St. Jude’s Benefit Car Show at Landmark Lincoln in Englewood has been slow to organize this year.  Tom Ferguson described the first ever Highlands Ranch Hot Rod Club Classic Car Cruise  which was held on April 27th and featured over 100 cars including many Mustangs, Shelbys and Cobra replicas.  The event will be repeated each 4th Saturday of the month through September.  Mr. Ferguson also noted a track day is scheduled at High Plains Raceway on June 1st with enrollment open for any interested parties.  Larry Snodgrass and Kirk Linkevich described two different film products they use to provide temporary protection to the front ends of their cars for track event or long drives.  Interested members can contact them for more information.
