Old Business

The Club has 21 paid family memberships and 3 approved non-paying memberships including 2 members who joined in the last third of 2018.  An updated membership roster was emailed out prior to the September meeting.  Tom Ferguson, as Treasurer, will be accepting 2020 membership renewals at $30 per family starting in November.  As of 11/12/19, twelve member renewals for next year have been processed.  A reminder: photos of your favorite Mustang can be included with your roster listing on the Club website if you email the photo to Tom Ferguson or Frank Herbst.
The Annual FRMC Chili-Feed was held on a cold and windy Sunday, October 20th at Belleview Park in Littleton.  Fourteen members attended with a good, if blustery time held by all.  Thanks to everyone for bringing your special chili recipes along with chips, cookies, drinks and desserts.
We have a large supply of club jacket patches for sale at $5.00 and magnetic name tags can be ordered at $12.00/tag.  We also now have FRMC window and windshield car stickers available for free.  Tom Ferguson is attempting to contact members who have not picked up their shirts or name tags.
The Club Holiday Dinner is scheduled for December 7th at 2:00 pm at Mickey’s Top Sirloin, 6950 Broadway, Denver.  The Club hopes to have at least 20 members in attendance with a menu selection of baked white fish, shrimp scampi, and New York Strip steak along with rice pilaf, vegetables, baked potato, and salad for a cost of $27.50 per person.  The Club will subsidize $9.00 for each meal, so the net cost to the members will be $18.50 per person.  Sodas, iced tea, lemonade, tax and a 20% gratuity are in included in the per person cost.  Adult beverages and desserts will be available at an extra cost.  As of 11/12/19, nineteen members have reserved spots for the dinner.  Donations for the St. Jude Children’s  Hospital will again be accepted along with the customary volunteer White Elephant Gift Exchange at the dinner.

New Business

The new meeting location at Jose O’shea’s was well received by the members with a recent record turnout of 22 people.  The Fall/Winter meetings will continue to be held at 11:00 am the second Saturday of the month in January, February and March and then Jose’s will be evaluated for our Summer meeting location.
Tom Kay, the Club’s representative with the Collector Car Council of Colorado, described an initiative with the New Car Dealer Association to encourage interest in cars with Millennials who don’t appear to have the same enthusiasm for buying and collecting autos or attending car shows as previous generations.
Wendell Salas noted that the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup will again be held over Father’s Day weekend in Steamboat Springs, but it is likely the 2021 event will be either held in Glenwood Springs or Snowmass on June dates either before or after the traditional Father’s Day weekend.  Tom Kay noted that the Havana Cruise is scheduled for the same weekend as the 2020 Roundup.
Larry Snodgrass passed on Dan Ryhal’s and Cathy Wagner’s desire to again host FRMC at his home in Pine, Colorado in 2020 and all who attended this year’s cookout enthusiastically agreed to do that again.   A video documenting the drive to Dan’s home and the cookout has been posted to the Club’s website homepage.
Larry Standiford congratulated Larry Snodgrass and Art Apple for their attendance at all the 2019 Club events which should make them likely recipients of the annual 289 pin award.  Also, Chuck Warren was recognized for his efforts in coordinating the new meeting location at Jose’s plus arranging the drive routes to the Buffalo Bill Gravesite picnic and the cookout at the Ryhal/Wagner residence in Pine.  Larry also noted that the current officers will continue in their positions with the Club unless someone volunteers by next month’s Holiday Dinner.
Gary Spencer is researching options for producing Club baseball caps and will report back on that soon.
Larry Standiford will attempt to put together a Club outing to see the new Ford v Ferrari movie which premiers November 15th.  Details will be sent out via email.
The following list represents upcoming club events.  Times and dates will be determined closer to the events based on club input and site availability.
November – Club movie outing to see Ford v Ferrari.
December 7 – FRMC Holiday Party, 2:00 pm at Mickey’s Top Sirloin, 6950 Broadway, Denver
February – K-1 Go Kart Track Event
If you’d like an event you are interested in posted to the website Bullett-n Board, bring an informational flyer to an upcoming Club meeting.
The next Club meeting will be held on Saturday, January 11th  at Jose Oshea’s, 385 Union Blvd in Lakewood at 11:00 am.

Treasurer's Report

The Club had $1,451.83 in the checking account with Vectra Bank as of the meeting date following payment of the balance owed on  8 Club polo shirts and deposits of  Mustang Roundup funds and member shirt and name tag reimbursements.

MCA Report

The new on-line Board of Director election process was very successful in raising voter participation.  Larry Standiford attended the Regional Director Summit in Las Vegas October 11-13.  Note: The national MCA website has been redesigned and members will have to reset their MCA Member password by requesting a new password during login to the site.
