Old Business
The National Mustang Day Cruise on April 16th was a great success with over 70 Mustangs participating from area clubs and non-affiliated owners. The cruise started in Wheat Ridge and proceeded through the Golden Gate State Park area and Blackhawk to Evergreen. The Boss Auto Designs (starting point) and El Rancho Restaurant (finish) parking lots were jam packed with beautiful ponies and pictures and videos of the event are posted on the Front Range Mustang Club Facebook page.
The Denver Auto Show returned to the Colorado Convention Center last week and the Ford exhibit feature a 2023 Mustang GT, a 2023 Mustang Mach E GT, and a soon to be released 2024 Mustang Dark Horse. Ford is taking orders on 2024 Mustangs and should start deliveries later this summer. Chevy had an impressive Corvette Z06 on display and a not yet released Corvette E-Ray, a gas/electric hybrid. The fact that Chevy only showed one Camaro and Dodge only had single examples of the Challenger and Charger, all of which are ending production next year, shows how the market has swung decisively to SUVs and trucks. Lots of electric vehicles were also on display, but many are not yet on sale officially.
Larry Standiford reminded everyone at the meeting that he will be relinquishing the Presidency of FRMC at end of the year. We are looking for a new President from the membership, so someone please step forward.

New Business
At April’s Club meeting, Tom Ferguson revealed the over the top racing stripes recently added to his GT350. The results are impressive and a number of members wanted to know where the work was done. American Auto Enhancements, 303-738-9188, at 6687 S Broadway in Littleton did the work in one day, including removing and replacing the clear front bra, for a very reasonable price. If you want to spiff up your Mustang’s appearance check them out at www.americanautoenhancement.com.
Michael Thomas from the Denver Mustang Club has announced a Saturday, May 6th Mustang Cruise to Monument with lunch at Rosie’s Diner similar to the event he organized last year that drew 38 ponies with roughly 72 folks from 4 Mustang clubs and a handful of non-affiliated owners. The plan is to meet in Highlands Ranch at the Denny’s parking lot (1164 Sgt Jon Stiles Drive) around noon with a 1:00pm departure and parade into Rosie’s at 1:45. Anyone with a Mustang is welcome and Michael has posted an announcement on FRMC’s Facebook page where you can respond to him if you are interested in attending. Tom Ferguson will also remind everyone in early May so we can get Michael an estimated headcount for Rosie’s.
While June is packed with upcoming events, Larry Standiford and Paul and John Revesz have committed to planning some Club Cruises for the balance of the season. Larry will be coordinating a Club Cruise to the Pikes Peak area and the Revesz brothers will arrange a mountain cruise along the lines of last Fall’s drive. We’ll get dates out to the members as they develop.
FRMC’s next meeting will be Saturday, May 13th at Romano’s Italian Restaurant, 11am. FRMC is sticking to the Saturday meeting schedule as opposed to switching to Friday nights because Romano’s is such a great place to gather and eat, and with the meetings concluding by 1pm at the latest, most of the day is left for other activities.
