FRMC Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date and Location
The Sunday, July 3rd meeting was called to order by President Larry Standiford at approximately 5pm at the home of Chuck Warren, 13496 W Center Drive, Lakewood prior to his annual Independence Day Cookout on his decks overlooking the metro area from Green Mountain. The meeting was brief as there was a lot of good food and drink waiting for us all to dig into. Big thanks to Chuck, his neighbors and FRMC volunteers for the food prep and decorating for the event.

Old Business
The Club has 27 paid family memberships so far for 2022.
Wendell Salas reported that the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup in Colorado Springs June 14-18 went well despite a mix-up with having adult beverages at the host hotel when it no longer had a liquor license. This issue will go away next year when the host hotel changes to the DoubleTree and there is a possibility that the 2024 event will be held in Cripple Creek. FRMC was represented by several members who took part in the Scenic Mountain Tour, PPIR Track Day and Autocross and the Saturday Show ‘n Shine. Wendell noted that 310 Mustangers registered for the event overall and 235 took part in the Show ‘n Shine and 296 in the Friday Social Party.
The week after the Roundup on Friday, June 24th the Rocky Mountain Thunderbird Club invited other car clubs to join them at the Clive Cussler Auto Museum in Arvada. FRMC had four members attend the event and all were very impressed with Mr. Cussler’s collection of classic automobiles. The rumor that the collection is moving to Arizona at the end of 2022 is not true. There are no plans to relocate the museum and it is very much worth a visit as the collection is stunning.
The All Ford Picnic & Car Show was held later that weekend Arapahoe Park, Indiana and 44th Ave, Golden, and several members enjoyed the event and plan on bringing their cars again next year.

New Business
We added a new member, Mark Von Feldt at the July Club Meeting at Chuck Warren’s home. Mark has a 2009 California Special Mustang that has been modified into a GT350 clone. We saw Mike Bateman, who built the original S197 GT350 clone, huddling with Mark to share ideas on how he could spend more money on his Mustang. Way to go Mike!
Possible Club Drives were discussed for the upcoming weeks including attending the Golden Cruise, touring back up to Echo Lake and down into Evergreen for a stopover at the El Rancho Brewing Company, and a cruise down Colorado 105 from Sedalia to Rosie’s Diner in Monument. If any of these sound good, let Tom Ferguson, Larry Standiford, or Gary Spencer know so your officers can organize something.
Tom Ferguson said he will look into getting a new batch of FRMC polo shirts ordered. Expect an email soon with details on pricing and colors so that members wanting shirts can place their orders.
It was noted that we need to start checking on locations for the Fall FRMC Chili Feed and the Holiday Party in December. Larry Snodgrass will contact Club Friend, Dan Ryhal about possibly hosting the Chili Feed again.
Lastly, after seven years of having a Mustang in his garage and an uninstalled Terminator engine to go with it, Club President Larry Standiford has a running 1996 Mustang GT. He purchased the car from a past FRMC member shortly after June’s Club Meeting. No estimate on when the Shinoda Boss Mustang will finally get its Terminator transplant.
The next FRMC Monthly Club Meeting will be held at 7pm on Friday, August 12th at Landmark Lincoln, 5000 S Broadway in Englewood 80113.
