FRMC Meeting Minutes
Meeting Date and Location
June 12, 2020 - Submitted by Tom Ferguson, Secretary/Treasurer
President Larry Standiford called the June meeting to order shortly after a social hour featuring take-out food and several different drink options had begun at Chuck Warren’s house on Green Mountain (13496 W Center Dr, Lakewood, CO 80228). The meeting was informal and really just represented a chance for the members, who had been practicing CoVid-19 social separation since mid-March, to get out their cars and catch-up on life around people.

Old Business
The Club has 22 paid family memberships for 2020 and 1 approved non-paying membership through June 2020. An updated Club Roster was emailed to the members prior to the June Club meeting. A reminder: photos of your favorite Mustang can be included with your roster listing on the Club website if you email the photo to Tom Ferguson or Frank Herbst. Tom took several shots of cars not previously in the roster at the June meeting and Frank has since added them to the website.
We have a large supply of club jacket patches for sale at $5.00 and magnetic name tags can be ordered at $12.00/tag. We also now have FRMC window and windshield car stickers available for free. Gary Spencer has an inventory of FRMC ball caps for members to purchase at $18 each. Each hat carries the Club logo on the front with unique design work on the brims and side depending on the color. Colors are black, red, and pink and are available by contacting Gary at Jilspen04@aol.com.
Regarding upcoming events, the June Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup was cancelled for 2020 due to the pandemic as was the May 16th car show at the Certifit Auto Body Parts facility at 10450 E. 51st Avenue. That event had been planned as a joint show with the Mustang Car Club of Colorado.

New Business
It is hoped that our spring/winter meeting location at Indian Tree Golf Club Restaurant will give us the green light to start having Club meetings there starting in July once they approve a plan for hosting groups during the pandemic. Art Apple remains in weekly contact with them.
As mentioned in the Treasurer’s report, Tom Ferguson has FRMC business cards to pass out to prospective members at car shows or other gatherings and the first distribution occurred at the June Club meeting.
New member, Michael Bateman attended June’s meeting and drove his beautiful 2006 Shelby GT350. Michael also owns a 1984 Saleen and is restoring a 1969 Mach 1, and has been a regular at the Roundup in past years so he was familiar to several Club members.
Tom Kay updated us on Colorado Collector Car Council activities which have been cancelled including the Havana Car Show and Poker Run scheduled for June 20th. At the last meeting Tom had mentioned he was headed to California to look at a severely discounted Boss 351. Well, it proved too good to be true, but he did purchase a Mustang that was owned by Jerry Lee Lewis with the intention of showing it at the Forney Transportation Museum eventually.
Wendell Salas noted that the SCCA and Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup organizers are working to salvage the Roundup Autocross later this summer at the Front Range Airport. Stay tuned for more developments on this.
Chuck Warren said he would research the possibility of having a small car show for FRMC in the parking lot across from the Café Prague in Morrison to assist the town with its economic comeback during the pandemic. Stay tuned for more on that.
For a Club activity in July, Chuck is hosting a July 4th cookout at his house on Green Mountain starting at 6:30 pm. His neighbors are also invited and attendees should bring their own meat. The address is the same as for the just completed June Club meeting.
Due to all the cancellations and social distancing being encouraged by the authorities for the coronavirus outbreak, Club activities will be slow to develop, however, members have discussed future 2020 Club activities including possible visits to the Shelby Collection, Rambler Ranch, Celestial Seasonings and another cookout at the Ryhal/Wagner residence in Pine.
The following list represents upcoming club or other events of interest. Times and dates will be determined closer to the events based on club input and site availability.
June 17-19 – SAAC National Convention, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Indianapolis, IN - Cancelled
June 17-21 – Annual Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup, Steamboat Springs, CO - Cancelled

Treasurer's Report
The Club had $1,362.79 in the checking account with Vectra Bank as of the meeting date following dues payments from new members Zak Sutliff, Michael Bateman, and John and Karen Olson. Payments made from the account since March’s Club meeting included Crown Trophy $30.22 for name tags, Office Depot $52.50 for Club business cards, and USPS $3.50 to mail cards out to some members for further distribution. More cards were hand distributed to the members attending the June meeting at Chuck’s.
MCA Report
Nothing to report other than the cancellation of several regional and one national show due to the CoVid-19 pandemic. The MCA’s Mustang Times which is the sole remaining national print monthly dedicated to Mustangs had a nice spread in their June issue on last September’s Stangtoberfest which was organized by our sister club, the Mustang Car Club of Colorado. The national MCA website has been redesigned and members will have to reset their MCA Member password by requesting a new password during their first login to the new site
