Old Business

The Club has 25 paid family memberships so far for 2022.
The Club will defer scheduling the last Tri-Power Tour of local car collections at the Forney Museum of Transportation until later this summer or fall as the schedule for car events of interest is filling up in June and July.  There is no immediate time limit for when we can use the tickets we previously purchased.
Wendell Salas reported that everything is set for the Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup in Colorado Springs June 14-18.  Tom Ferguson noted some time discrepancies between the published event schedule and the RMMR website.  Wendell confirmed that the event schedule is correct and that there were some parts of the website that weren’t properly updated from 2021.
The Rio Grande Mustang Club MCA Regional Show held over Memorial Day weekend in Albuquerque was a big success for FRMC with four members’ cars receiving either Golds or Runner Up awards.  The winners were Chuck Warren, Larry Snodgrass, Gary Spencer and Greg Watson.
The Club was also was well represented at the June 5th Colorado Concours d’Elegance at Arapahoe Community College as John McNurney, Tom Ferguson, Frank Herbst, and Tom Rupprecht exhibited their Mustangs and John also brought his Ford GT and a competition 427 Cobra.  Frank and Tom Rupprecht’s rides won show ribbons from the SAAC Colorado judges and Art Apple, who visited the show early in the day said it was one of the best car events he’d ever attended.

New Business

The week after the Roundup on Friday, June 24th the Rocky Mountain Thunderbird Club has invited other car clubs to meet them at the Lookin Good Restaurant at 66 Sheridan Blvd to drive up to the Clive Cussler Auto Museum in Arvada.  They will be leaving the restaurant at 9am to make this last visit to the Cussler facility which is moving out of state later this year.  More info on this can be provided by Art.
The All Ford Picnic & Car Show will be held at Arapahoe Park, Indiana and 44th Ave, Golden, 9am to 2pm on June 26th.
Chuck Warren has invited all Club members to his annual Independence Day Cookout at his house on Green Mountain.  This year it will be on Sunday, July 3rd starting at 5pm for our July FRMC meeting.  The view of the area fireworks is spectacular from Chuck’s deck and should not be missed.  Chuck asks those who plan on attending please RSVP him by June 30th  at koondog202@gmail.com and pitch-in side dishes are welcome.  Chuck will provide meats and drinks, the viewing deck and firepit.
These events and many others are listed below and on the FRMC website (www.frontrangemustangclub.org) which is a valuable tool for members to use for planning car outings or seeing photos of past activities.  It was noted at the meeting that the website, especially the calendar, is best viewed on a tablet or computer, but is does work on a cell phone even if a small screen limits legibility.  Also, all areas of the website are open to viewing except the Member Roster under the Garage section which needs the password 20frmc20.
As noted above, the next FRMC Monthly Club Meeting will be held at 5pm on Sunday, July 3rd at Chuck Warren’s house (13496 W Center Dr, Lakewood) as a prelude to his Independence Day Cookout.

Treasurer's Report

The Club had $1,063.00 in the checking account with Vectra Bank as of the meeting date.  During the meeting, it was decided to provide a $200 subsidy to Chuck Warren for hosting the July 3rd Club Meeting and cookout that will be held at his house on Green Mountain.  The $30.00 FRMC dues for 2022 can be sent to Tom Ferguson at 525 Fox Hunt Circle, Highlands Ranch 80126.  Please make the dues checks out to FRMC rather than Tom.

MCA Report

The only MCA news of note was that Mike Bateman was planning on showing his restored 1969 Mach 1 at the May 20-22 National Show in Suisan City, California, however, a head gasket failure on the newly finished beauty prior to leaving meant its MCA debut will have to be delayed.
