Old Business
The Club has 29 paid family memberships for 2021 and 1 approved non-paying membership through the meeting date.
We have a large supply of Club jacket patches for sale at $5.00 and magnetic name tags can be ordered at $12.00/tag. We also now have FRMC window and windshield car stickers available for free. Gary Spencer has an inventory of FRMC ball caps for members to purchase at $18 each. Each hat carries the Club logo on the front with unique design work on the brims and side depending on the color. Colors are black, red, and pink and are available by contacting Gary at Jilspen04@aol.com.
Tom Ferguson recently sent out an email announcing the availability of Club Logo Polo shirts from our new vendor R&D Embroidery in Englewood. The shirts are available in several different colors with size specific pricing ranging from $25.49 to 30.29. Tom will be submitting an order around May 24th so contact him if you desire a shirt and haven’t told him yet.
The 2021 Rocky Mountain Mustang RoundUp takes place as the Club’s monthly event for June on the 14th through 21st in Colorado Springs. FRMC’s own Wendell Salas is the 2021 Roundup Chairperson with able assistance from Club VP Gary Spencer and they are looking for volunteers to assist with the daily event registrations. So far roughly 336 cars are registered for the event with details posted on the RMMR website (rockymountainmustangroundup.org). The only change to previously announced activities is the Friday night Social has been moved to the Hotel Elegante Ballroom from the Penrose Mansion to accommodate more people. Registration for RMMR closes on June 1st so if you haven’t signed up, you need to hurry.

New Business
Larry Standiford awarded the 2020 289 Pins to members that had earned enough points from event attendance last year. He also shared information on two events that our sister MCA Club, the Mustang Car Club of Colorado is participating in over the next few weeks. These are a Grand County High School Graduation Parade in Granby May 29th and a Stang & Stangs Event at Centennial Airport on July 24th. Tom Ferguson sent out an email on these events and other upcoming shows to the members on May 17th.
Art Apple and Chuck Warren reported on their participation in the April 25th Mayhem Racing Charities Colorwerks Rally to the Royal Gorge Bridge, Ludlow Monument, and the Car Topia Museum. Some 50 sports and muscle cars and Fast & Furious rice burners took part in the drive which mostly used backroads and featured some sustained triple digit driving. Chuck claimed Art nearly scared him to death pushing his GT500 convertible to keep up with the pack, but a great time was had by all and some new friends were made.
The members discussed possible Fall Drive locations and decided that with May weather being so changeable, the Club would wait until June to begin monthly Club activities outside of the regular monthly meetings. A list of possible activities follows.
