Old Business

The Club has 33 paid family memberships for 2021 and 1 approved non-paying membership through the meeting date.
Michael Bateman scored another Gold award with his 2006 self-built GT350 at The Great Mustang Roundup National MCA Show in Mustang, OK, September 3-5th.
John McNurney hosted his annual Cars and Guitars Block Party on September 11th and FRMC had its highest attendance ever along with tons of John’s friends and neighbors.  There were lots of great cars on display, a live band, and plenty of food.  Thanks again John for inviting the Club to your event!!
The Club was well represented at the Annual Shelby Collection Benefit Show and Party on September 4th in Boulder by Tom Ferguson, Keith and Karen Johnson, Michael Kish, and Bob and Bena Culbertson.  Sadly, none of us won the new Shelby GT500 drawing.   A few of us also made it to the Ability Connection Colorado Concours d’ Elegance & Exotic Sports Car Show at Arapahoe Community College on September 12th.

New Business

Michael Bateman has developed a Facebook Group Page for FRMC and it looks great.  So far, several members have posted comments and pictures and this should be a good way to grow membership and supplement our website as an information sharing tool.  Michael has included numerous photos already from the two National MCA shows he attended this year plus the Mustang Museum of America in Odenville, AL.  If you don’t use Facebook, it is free to sign-up and you don’t need to share much personal info beyond an email address.
In Rocky Mountain Mustang Roundup news, the organizing committee is negotiating with the Antler Hotel in Colorado Springs for rooms and covered parking to add to the host hotel from this year’s show for the 2022 event.
It’s time to start thinking about the Club Holiday Party.  Some ideas discussed were early December lunch/dinners at Café Del Sol, the Double Tree in Platteville, or the Wishbone Family Restaurant.  Art Apple, Chuck Warren, and Larry Snodgrass volunteered to make some calls to research availability.
The show season is winding down and with the September Club Meeting held late in the month, it was decided to not have the regularly scheduled October meeting, but instead to start our winter meeting schedule on the second Saturday of November.  Tentative plans are to meet at our usual spot, Café Del Sol (608 Garrison Street, Lakewood, CO), at 11am, Saturday, November 13th.  This will be firmed up well before the meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:42pm.
