Old Business

The Club has 49 paid family memberships so far in 2025 which is the highest count since Tom has been associated with FRMC.  We finished 2024 at 44 family memberships.
The NGD Collector Cars Caffeine and Chrome Show on October 25th was well received by all the attendees who were very impressed with their facility and the cars stored there.  It should be noted that the monthly indoor storage fee is a very reasonable $150/month.   FRMC had 15 member cars at the show which was easily the most of any club.  Tom noted that member participation this year has been great and if the Gateway facility had not closed earlier in the month, FRMC would have certainly qualified for the $200 featured club payment Gateway was making.
Tom Ferguson also noted that he visited the very impressive Cobra Experience Museum in Martinez, CA in October and he has posted numerous pictures of the Cobra, Mustang, and Ford GT inventory the facility maintains on the FRMC Mustangs Facebook Group page.

New Business

After test driving FRMC at the club’s September meeting, Jon Krieger decided to join at the November meeting.  Jon lives in Aurora with his spouse, Jennifer, and has a 2013 Laguna Seca Boss 302 in school bus yellow.  Welcome, Jon!
FRMC member, Stephen Wilson, is also a member of SAAC Colorado and Tri-Lakes Cruisers, and he has organized a multi-club weekday trip for a guided tour of the Shelby American Collection in Boulder on Veteran’s Day, November 11th.  The cost will be $20 per person with the tour starting at 11am.  So far, FRMC will have 17 members and guests attending.  Thanks to Stephen for taking a leadership role on this.  It’s great to have volunteers step forward!
As noted above, the Annual FRMC Holiday Party will be held at The Club at Rolling Hills in Golden on December 6th starting at 10am.  This is always a fun time especially when the gift exchange gets going.  So far 30 members have RSVP’d.  Should members wish to make a holiday donation to the 501-c, Perpetual Learning Communities that Paul and Jennifer Revesz have started for developmentally challenged young adults, you can discuss it with Paul at the party or direct donations to www.perpetuallearningcc.com.   The club has been supporting this project since Paul and Jennifer started it and their physical facility in Littleton has a wall plaque acknowledging FRMC’s generosity.
As winter sets in, FRMC is always looking for activities to keep us busy when our Mustangs are in the barn.  At our November meeting, the club decided to conduct a group visit to the National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs on Saturday, January 24th.   Times and driving group info will be forthcoming, but Tom sent out a summary of what is available to see at the museum in an email on November 7th,  and thanks to Jim Yank for getting the details that were included in the email.   Members who have previously been to the museum are very high on it and plan to go back on the 24th.
Wendell Salas mentioned that National Mustang Day is April 17th and the club should be thinking about how to celebrate the 62nd Birthday of the Mustang.  He will be contacting our sister MCA Club, the Early Mustang Club of Colorado, to see if a joint activity can be arranged.  Wendell will also order some National Mustang Day decals for the Mustang Owner’s Museum fundraiser conducted by MCA and National Parts Depot.  In addition, Larry Standiford suggested a visit to the Flying W Ranch for the club sometime in 2026 which can be discussed later.
Also, some personal news on members: Gary Spencer has recovered from his shoulder surgery, but has decided to stepdown from his FRMC Vice President position so hopefully we can fill that role at the Holiday Party.  Larry Standiford and Danny Gaddy are both recovering from oral surgeries and Art Apple has just had surgery for issues with sciatica.  Please wish them a fast recovery.
The next FRMC meeting will be held Saturday, December 6th in conjunction with the Annual Holiday Party.  In January, we will meet on the 10th at Romano’s at 11am .

MCA Report

The 2026 MCA National Show schedule has been finalized and is detailed below in the Upcoming Events of Interest section of these minutes.
CCCC Report:
Keith Johnson attended the most recent CCCC meeting and reminded us that  Dick Thompson, who has led the organization for many years, is seeking volunteers to replace him and commit to helping with the annual swap meet and car show the Collector Car Council of Colorado holds each summer in Broomfield.  Tom Ferguson sent out an email on the need for CCCC volunteers with Dick’s contact info on October 31st.  Keith also noted that attendance at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas through membership in the CCCC is no longer limited to a once in a lifetime restriction.
