Old Business
The Club has 48 paid family memberships so far in 2025 which is the highest count since Tom has been associated with FRMC. We finished 2024 at 44 family memberships.
Last month, the idea to hold a future member meeting at Atomic Cowboy/Denver Biscuit Company/Fat Sully’s NY Pizza in Englewood (County Line Rd and S Quebec St) was floated. Dean Gianarkis checked with the restaurant management, but they need an $1,800 spending commitment from FRMC to reserve their meeting room as weekend mornings are their busiest time. Our club members naturally balked at that requirement so we will continue to use Romano’s for the foreseeable future with our next meeting there at 11am, Saturday, November 8th. Atomic Cowboy’s management said they would be happy to reserve us space after 2pm, but brunch hours aren’t open for reservation without the fee. Maybe something to look at later.
A number of members made it to the Cool Colors of Autumn show in Highlands Ranch and Lakewood American Legion Show in the latter part of September, but we only had one member express interest in an open track afternoon at High Plains Raceway so nothing has been scheduled for that this year.
As noted in several emails I sent out for the Chili Feed, the Caffeine and Chrome Show at Gateway Classic Cars on October 25th has been cancelled due to the facility closing at the end of October. If you were set on showing your vehicle that day, a substitute event has surfaced as noted in my comments below under New Business.

Continuing on about a substitute event for October 25th, NGD Collector Cars, a local storage and restoration shop, will be hosting their inaugural NGD Cars and Coffee that day at 2155 South Sheridan Blvd in Denver from 9am to 12pm. Art Apple mentioned at the Chili Feed that he is very familiar with NGD and notes they are a first class organization so this should be a great event and hopefully a nice alternative for the loss of Gateway which is a real tragedy for the local car community. The show is free to spectate or enter with coffee and donuts provided. NGD would like RSVPs by October 20th sent to NGDfitz@msn.com or call 303-947-0444. Tom sent an email out on this October 8th.
FRMC member, Stephen Wilson, is also a member of SAAC Colorado and Tri-Lakes Cruisers, and he is proposing a multiclub weekday trip for a guided tour of the Shelby American Collection in Boulder during the second week of November. The cost would be $20 per person and would include lunch. The price could be lower depending on the group size. If anyone is interested, please reply to Tom with your preferred day that week so he can let Stephen know. And thanks to Stephen for taking a leadership role on this. It’s great to have volunteers step forward!
Another idea floated at the Chili Feed was a visit to the Colorado Model Railroad Museum in Greeley in November. This can be further discussed at the next member meeting along with preliminary planning for a trip down to Colorado Springs early next year to tour the National Museum of World War II Aviation.
Paul Revesz updated the club on the progress of his 501-c, Perpetual Learning Opportunities, and their physical facility in Littleton to care for developmentally challenged young adults. The club has been supporting this project since Paul started it to help care for his adult daughter and great progress has been made for which Paul and his spouse, Jennifer, are very grateful. He will be providing info for donations during the holiday season for those who wish to continue their support.
The next FRMC meeting will be held Saturday, November 8th at Romano’s at 11am as we have switched to our winter schedule for club meetings.

CCCC Report:
Keith Johnson attended the most recent CCCC meeting and noted that Dick Thompson, who has led the organization for many years, is seeking volunteers to replace him and commit to helping with the annual swap meet and car show the Collector Car Council of Colorado holds each summer in Broomfield. This show has been used to help finance the lobbyist who represents the local car community at the state legislature, but the show has been unprofitable in recent years and its continued existence and the fate of CCCC is questionable without new volunteer help in 2026. If anyone is interested in helping, please contact Dick whose phone and email info is on our club roster as he is an FRMC member.
