Old Business
The Club has 47 paid family memberships so far in 2025 which is the highest count since Tom has been associated with FRMC. We finished 2024 at 44 family memberships.
The Club’s July 19th Northern Colorado Cruise (henceforth to be referred to as the Fox Run) was a great event with nine club cars and 14 members participating on a beautiful day. The cruise started at the Shelby American Collection Museum’s Cars & Coffee meet in Boulder and proceeded north-west to Estes Park for a photo shoot, then east along the beautiful Big Thompson River, then north to Masonville for a nature-break. After the stop, we proceeded east through Rist Canyon for a late lunch in Laporte at Vern’s Place. From there the participants went their separate ways, but all agreed the route developed by Ron Fox was great and we need to do it again. Pictures are posted on the FRMC Mustangs Group Facebook page.
The Early Mustang Club’s Horsefeathers All Ford Car Show with over 100 vehicles was held August 2nd in Lakewood and FRMC was well represented with 10 cars displayed and four owners taking home awards. Other members attended the Holy Rollers show in Broomfield August 9th , the Chenango Car Show in Centennial August 10th , and the Sunflower Nationals Auto Show in Keenesburg, Colorado on August 9th.
There are several more events of interest rounding out August and September as noted in the Upcoming Club or Other Events of Interest list below.

We added our 47th family membership to the Club during the August meeting. Dave and Sandy Marsh of Littleton own a 2019 Shelby GTS in a striking orange color that is number 19 out of a special run of 21 built by Shelby American in Las Vegas. Dave runs Bear Creek Archery and he welcomes any members to come have a fun day practicing this old, but popular activity at his establishment.
The Club was asked to provide a Mustang or two for a photo shoot for the Mullen High School Mustangs’ 2025-26 Cheer Squad on Saturday, August 16th. Tom Ferguson and Joe Bolis (a Mullen alum) brought their Shelby GT350s which are fifty years apart in age for the photo session and Tom has posted some informal shots from the session on the FRMC Mustangs Group Facebook page.
With Fall fast approaching, if the Club wants to repeat last year’s open track half-day at High Plains Raceway we need someone willing to put the event together. The main thing that is needed is to pick a date and then publicize the track’s registration process. Keith Johnson and Tom Ferguson coordinated this last year. Any volunteers for 2025?
Two things to add to your calendars coming up: The Annual Club Chili Feed will be held again at the mountain home of Dan Ryhal and Cathy Wagner in Pine on October 11th and FRMC is the featured car club at the October 25th Caffeine and Chrome show at Gateway Classic Cars in Englewood . Tom Ferguson will be polling members for participation and food contributions for the Chili Feed shortly after our September Club Meeting and if we provide 10 vehicles for the Caffeine and Chrome Show in October, Gateway will contribute $200 to the Club’s treasury.
Paul Revesz has a video tour developed of the facility his non-profit, Perpetual Learning Communities, is now occupying in downtown Littleton. As noted before, Paul has been working on this for the last two years to serve individuals over 18 with autism and intellectual disabilities, and the generosity of FRMC members has been a big factor in achieving this milestone. He will be figuring out a way to share the video with our members, possibly by posting it on the FRMC Mustangs Group Facebook Page.
Lastly, Dave Skinner has launched a YouTube Channel, “Boomer Technician”, where he describes how he became the owner of his 1974 Mustang II Mach 1 and the work he has done to it. Dave will be adding to this entertaining site going forward and everyone should check it out.
The next FRMC meeting will be Thursday, September 11th at 7pm at Romano’s Italian Restaurant in Littleton at 5666 S. Windermere Street. Our October meeting will be conducted at the Chili Feed and in November we will switch to our Winter schedule of Saturday morning meetings. We may hold the first one at Atomic Cowboy off Quebec Street in Englewood. Dean Gianarkis is coordinating the arrangements.
