Old Business
The Club has 47 paid family memberships so far in 2025 which is the highest count since Tom has been associated with FRMC. We finished 2024 at 44 family memberships.
Members reported on shows attended since the Club’s last meeting including the Tri-Lakes Cruisers Benefit Show in Monument, the Sturgis Mustang Rally in North Dakota, the Shelby American Collection Car Show and Party in Boulder, and the Early Ford V-8 Car Show in Sheridan. Of special note was the Sturgis Rally where Kenny and Chrissy Weathers showed both their Mustangs and won two Bronze awards and Keith Johnson took part in the autocross with his GT350R.
As noted last month, the Club was asked to provide a Mustang or two for a photo shoot for the Mullen High School Mustangs’ 2025-26 Cheer Squad on Saturday, August 16th. Tom Ferguson and Joe Bolis (a Mullen alum) brought their Shelby GT350s which are fifty years apart in age for the photo session and by the time these minutes are mailed, Frank Herbst will have some informal shots from the session posted in the Gallery section of the FRMC website, www.frontrangemustangclub.org.
There are several more events of interest rounding out the year as noted in the Upcoming Club or Other Events of Interest list below.

New Business
A potential new member, John Krieger, attended September’s meeting. John’s family has a long history with Mustangs and he currently has a low mileage, rare 2013 Boss 302 Laguna Seca that our members all appreciated hearing about. We hope you decide to join us soon, John.
The Club has its first S550 GT500 now as Tom Rupprecht traded in his beloved, highly modified white Mustang GT for a striking rapid red 2021 Shelby GT500. Tom brought the car to September’s meeting and it is a beauty.
With Fall fast approaching, if the Club wants to repeat last year’s open track half-day at High Plains Raceway we need to pick a date to register and then meet up at the track. Open dates on High Plains schedule include the following Thursdays and Fridays: 9/18, 9/19, 9/25, 10/3, 10/9, and 10/10. The cost for an afternoon (1pm-5pm) session on Thursday or Friday is $149 per driver and attendance at the mandatory drivers/riders meeting is at 12:30pm. Pre-track day registration (required) along with all the pertinent info is at www.highplainsraceway.com. If you are interested, please communicate the date you want to Tom Ferguson and he will let you know if we have enough interest to make this an official Club outing like last year.
Upcoming shows for September include the Lakewood American Legion Car Show on the 20th and the Highlands Ranch Hot Rodders Cool Colors of Autumn show on the 28th. Details on these shows are shown below in the Events of Interest section.
Please note two big Club events coming up: The Annual Club Chili Feed will be held again at the mountain home of Dan Ryhal and Cathy Wagner in Pine on October 11th and FRMC is the featured car club at the October 25th Caffeine and Chrome show at Gateway Classic Cars in Englewood . Tom Ferguson will be polling members for participation and food contributions for the Chili Feed later in September and if we provide 10 vehicles for the Caffeine and Chrome Show in October, Gateway will contribute $200 to the Club’s treasury.
The next FRMC meeting will be held concurrent with the Chili Feed on Saturday, October 11th at 11am at the mountain home of Dan Ryhal and Cathy Wagner (details below). In November, we will switch to our Winter schedule of Saturday morning meetings. We may hold the first one at Atomic Cowboy off Quebec Street in Englewood. Dean Gianarkis is coordinating the arrangements so stay tuned.

Treasurer's Report
Per Treasurer, Tom Ferguson, the Club had $1,788.53 in the Vectra Bank checking account as of the meeting date. FRMC dues for 2025 are $50.00 and can be sent to Tom at 525 Fox Hunt Circle, Highlands Ranch 80126. Please make the dues checks out to FRMC rather than Tom. Tom is holding the name tags for members Todd Griffin, Jim and Susan Johnston, Candy Thompson, Bill and Joan Anderson and Dave Marsh. Please come to a future event to get your tags, guys!
MCA Report
Next year’s MCA National schedule which will feature two shows within driving distance of Denver. Ozarks International Raceway will host another National on Memorial Day weekend in Gravois Mills, Missouri and Tulsa will be the site of another National later in the year on July 24-25.
CCCC Report:
Keith Johnson reported that there was no meeting in September, but noted that the emissions testing fees for Front Range vehicles will be doubled in 2026 to $50. The FRMC members’ reaction to this was uniformly negative as the general consensus about the program is that it is a waste of time and money with a failure rate of one percent and most vehicles contributing to Front Range pollution aren’t tested or carrying up-to-date licenses.
