Old Business
The Club has 44 paid family memberships so far for 2024.
Open Lapping Day at High Plains Raceway near Byers – Well we did it! FRMC’s first official open lapping day at High Plains Raceway happened on a beautiful Thursday, October 10th afternoon. We had 8 members come out with 7 cars including John McNurney’s Ford GT and Greg Watson’s Prius (after he discovered a flat tire on his Mustang while leaving for the event). Not all the cars hit the track, but Keith Johnson, Tom Ferguson, and Joshua Reeder all ran their recent vintage Shelby GT350’s while Dean Gianarkis lapped his 2008 Shelby GT and Wendell Salas took his 2006 Mustang GT out with several mods since last tracked. Keith, Tom, Joshua, and Wendell also opened up their passenger seats for ride-alongs which John, Greg, and Travis Reeder plus Joshua’s boss and a friend took advantage of. It was a great time and we hope to repeat it in 2025 with more members attending. Tom posted some pictures on the FRMC Mustangs Facebook page.
Annual Chili Feed – Dan Ryhal and Cathy Wagner once again volunteered their beautiful home in Pine for the club’s fall Chili Feed on Saturday, October 12th . As noted above we had 30 people in attendance with 5 different chili recipes for sampling along with lots of side dishes and desserts. While the weather couldn’t have been nicer, the fall colors were maybe not quite out as much as they will be in a week or so. Anyway, the Chili Feed has always been a great way to close out the Club’s fall activities and the pictures Tom posted on the FRMC Mustangs Facebook page will confirm that.

New Business
With the driving season starting to wind down, your officers are looking for ideas for driving/show events to keep the Club active during the colder months. Some suggestions discussed so far include:
Other suggestions are very welcome. Contact one of the officers with your ideas as FRMC is always looking for more volunteers and input.
The recent hurricanes impacting Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas have created a great need for volunteer contributions and the MCA has been stepping up with numerous affiliate clubs making monetary donations to the Red Cross and Samaritan’s Purse organizations along with others. FRMC would like to add to this effort and $140 was collected at the Chili Feed which Tom will add to any additional amounts members wish to mail him by October 27th. Checks should be made out to FRMC so Tom can consolidate them into one payment made out of the Club treasury. Cash will also work of course. Tom will send the final donated amount to Samaritan’s Purse as designated by the members at the Chili Feed. Tom’s address is 525 Fox Hunt Circle, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126.
Tom suggested a Club outing to the Colorado Model Railroad Museum in Greeley the weekend of November 15-17 for their D.B. Cooper Days Celebration. The museum’s forested model railroad layout is an ideal place to recreate the mysterious events surrounding Cooper’s parachute jump from a Northwest Airlines 727 with $200,000 and it should be fun to look for evidence of him hidden in the layout. We’ll discuss this more at the November Member Meeting.
Tom and Art Apple will be meeting shortly with the event coordinator for the Club at Rolling Hills to complete the planning for the Club’s annual holiday party scheduled for December 7th. Stay tuned for more on this soon.

Treasurer's Report
Per Treasurer, Tom Ferguson, the Club had $1,887.72 in the Vectra Bank checking account as of the meeting date. FRMC dues for 2024 are $50.00 and can be sent to Tom at 525 Fox Hunt Circle, Highlands Ranch 80126. Please make the dues checks out to FRMC rather than Tom. Tom is holding the name tags for members Todd Griffin, Jim and Susan Johnston, John and Nancy Rullo and grandson Sullivan, and Bill and Joan Anderson. Please come to a future event to get your tags, guys!
MCA Report
The Standiford’s and Spencer’s pointed out places in the latest issue of Mustang Times where they and their cars were acknowledged at the August 9-11 MCA Mustangs at the Crossroads National Show in Des Moines, Iowa. The MCA recently announced the slate of MCA National Shows for 2025 and Tom has included them in the Upcoming Club or Other Events of Interest section of these minutes. Sadly, the closest show to us will be held in Missouri.
